I would also look at the CD or cruising design Ff2 design. As a dealer now retired, that was one extrusion with life time warranty with it's own internal halyard. First this allowed for the standard jib halyard to be used on those boats with mast raising without having to take the jib off. Secondly, you can bend that so to secure for transport. Third, I could leave the sail on the furler of course tied securely to the furler. Fourth, it is one piece and the early versions of furlers that snapped together, would move causing issues not to mention a pain in the you know what to put together. The only issue with the CD FF2 when it came was the extrusion was coiled up and for safety, it took several to unfoil and tie wrap leaving it in the sun for it to straighten out. Otherwise I liked it but you will get other opinions but many sailboat manufacturers use to use them on the small boats as an add on.
