Blew the clevis pin which holds our furler (headstay) to the bow of our 1980 O'Day 30 and can't seem to find a snug fitting clevis pin replacement... 3/8" seems a bit loose but no one seems to have a pin that is long enough...1 1/4 inches...with a 7/16th inch diameter..... Anyone know what size pin is the original size? Mine is at the bottom of Long Island Sound, just off of Bayville, Long Island... By the way, if you need a little excitement in your life, try blowing that clevis pin while running down wind in 20 knot gusts, and then, trying to get the only partly reefed, 150 percent genoa under control, the furling drum secured back on to the bow, and furled... Truly a thrill a minute! LOL!! Check Your Clevis! Jim

Try a small machine shop, make a pin with a cotter pins on each side and washers till you find the correct one. A friend of mine has been having the same problem with a Catalina
