I am in the process of refurbishing a 1980 26ft American Mariner 8.0. dont really know much about how she sails and was looking for some feedback from anyone who has sailed 1 of these. Is it worth it? Its a major resoration. I recently finished restoring a 1969 Oday mariner to original condition and it sure was worth it but want a bigger boat and got a bargain on the American. Also I have the opportunity to get a 1980 23ft Compac w? INBOARD DISEL which is apparently 1 of 30 ever made and was wondering if this wouuld be a worthwhile major venture as well
