I have the older roller furling system that gets pulled up the forestay. I want to replace with a newer system. I had someone look at my mast head and it appears the sheave that pulls up the head sail is positioned inside of the forestay. They question whether or not this mast head will take a newer system. Any ideas? Has someone else done this to a 1979 rig?
