1978 Yamaha fresh water tank lid

I am in the process or replacing the starboard fresh water tank lid. I had a pleasant surprise once I had it out. Here are a few pics of the underside of the lid. Any body else ever seen this?

I need to take a mirror to see if the port tank underside of the lid has the same flowers.

I think about the people who built our boats. I feel like they are riding with me every time I go out and I know they did their best work. This is such a nice reminder of them.
