hello, I recently bought a 1977 c 22 columbia and have been busy repairing and repainting the boat getting her ready to sail. The previous owner said the hull id number was on the right upper side of transom. I sanded the whole transom and never found an id plate or even any screws. I have been told that Columbia supposedly also put the hull id number inside the boat/cabin somewhere ??? I have looked what seemed to be everywhere but as of yet I can't find it. Anyway, I have registration and title from S>C state but according to there rules I still need the number on hull. What can I do about finding the number or putting one back on the hull? Thx for your help.
