The forward hatch cover shattered and needs replaced, but the trapizodal shape and the convex contour make it difficult to replace. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on replacement?
was to replace it with a bomar trapazoid hatch, 0n the photo archives you can see it done by another 27 owner. i ground down the convex portion and filled and sealed with west systems, then i installed the bomar glass hatch in the hole. i tried for a year looking for the old hatch cover and could never find one!! good luck
We have a '77 h27. Check out the photo essay on the h27 site, and follow mike's advice on shaping the hole. This was a great move for us! David Lady Lillie
