deck work

scrub it with hot water, Tide detergent and a stiff bristle brush. let dry. use a rubbing compound on the smooth parts, applied by machine, or by hand. hit it again with a polishing compound, then two coats of a carnuaba paste wax. on the non-skid, hit it with rubbing compound applied and removed with a stiff bristle brush to remove as much oxidation as you can, apply two coats of Aurora non-skid deck wax. unless you're totally anal and you want to go sailing instead of futzing around, that should do it.

Power Washer

I use deck soap and a 1300 psi power washer. It's not a strong one as power washers go, so i'm not worried about screwing anything up. That should get you through the grime- what you do after that is up to you.

Kaboom

Best all around boat cleaner I've found is Kaboom. So far I haven't found anything it won't remove, including week old red wine stains on fiberglass.
