Annual inspection revealed a soaking wet/rotted balsa core above the cabin. At this point, all hardware has been removed and initial cut has been made in the top of the cabin. The original hole will need to be enlarged to reveal more of the wet core and begin excavation. Epoxy and replacement core arrived today. Repair cost is up to $188.00, a far cry from where I thought we would be by this point. Welcome to the ships log.
