Are they rare and getting more rare.
Can anyone help me with the history of this cool boats and how many were built any pros cons . .
It's fair to say not many around. Looks like it slowly turned into a morgan 41 over the years .
I'm doing a custom refitting on mine .. and would love to know all I can about them, I got the basic information from sailboat.Com loa, beam weight, mast all that. But no boat plans or,blue prints, any one have experience with these sailboat...

The build data state’s started in 1973 and ended in 1976. Only 3 years. Maybe 200 boats constructed. If typical of builders in that era, during the 3 year span they altered (improved?) the design by adding or taking away interior pieces possibly moving systems in the boat during the build. Not all boats turn out to be exactly the same. Then you find owners who alter their boats.

I would be interested in the owners of OI 36 view of the boats sailing character. Is she fast heeling and righting, how well does it point to windward. How well they feel it to be built, sturdy or tender. Is it a comfortable ship or built more like my Westerly which is as comfortable as a church...
