I wonder why a 16 year old would want to spend a year or two

separated from human society. Sailing around the world and not be able to share it with anybody just doesn't suit my outlook on life.

The real World

From what I saw he spent a lot of time sailing around with parents and home schooling,so he may not have much with our real screwed up world. You and I were young once when things were so much safer, when we went to school no metal detectors and went to the airport and did not have to strip,I have photo's of NY twin Towers. Maybe he's the smarter one?????. I am not looking to start a rant. Nick

all-time great line

One of the all-time great lines in a film (Into the Wild) was: "Happiness isn't really real unless it's shared with somebody."

To each his own

On one hand you have to give the kid credit for sense of adventure. On the other hand it was a bit disappointing to read: "And upon his return, we anticipate: 1. Currently negotiating with major networks for television series. 2. Currently negotiating with literary agents for book rights."
