135 jib for an O'day 222?

I didn't get much response on the Oday 192 and 222 Facebook page, so I thought I'd ask the group here. Has anybody used a 130 or 135 jib on the O'day 222 with genoa track on the coach roof? How was the upwind light wind performance? How were the sheeting angles on the track? Summer sailing in the Gulf in Florida we get a lot of days with light wind and I'd like to improve on the furling 110 mostly in the 5-10 knot wind range.
The track on the coach roof works well for the 110. I don't really want to jump up to a 150 because tacking singlehanded becomes a bother and I don't want to add a bunch of new hardware on the combing to sheet correctly.

Rig a jib outhaul, aka barber hauler to pull the clew outboard when you want to open the slot. Over time if you find yourself using the wider tack angle most of the time, you will be able to justify the expense of installing a second track at your preferred location.

Thanks Joe. I'm definitely in experimental mode. My local sailmaker thinks he can size something to work with the existing Coach top track and I will visit the boat this weekend to get measurements to him about distance of the clue from the track with the existing 105 jib. I don't remember what boat you sail, but on the 222 there is not much outboard distance from the track on the coach roof to the edge of the boat. And I don't have any lifeline stanchions installed. So basically a block on the toe rail would be pulling down mostly.

I wonder if the 135 could be trimmed all the way in on the coachroof without fouling on the spreaders. But if your sailmaker thinks he can do it, I wouldn't argue with him.
We had a recent thread in which a sail was led outside of the spreaders to a track on the coachroof. It had a pretty wonky shape. It's not the same as your situation but a review of the thread may be useful.

Thanks I will try to visualize what the extra length on the foot would do in terms of bringing the leech back towards the spreaders. I will also be sending some photos to the sale maker so that he can assess the same issue. I will check out the post you referenced tomorrow thanks again.
