Stu, that's the best common sense advise yet- I hadn't even thought about radio as projectile flying around the cabin. I do think I'll just replace my existing head unit and make sure it has an aux in for my iPod. Thanks Stu!

12 volt computer speakers with broom clips attached to back. Mounts on rail or short pieces of conduit in cabin. I use my Ipod. Very low power and fairly nice sound. Installed 12 volt plug in cockpit. Can't take credit, somebody out in internet land gave me the idea.
