Yes; We sailed on Seneca last Summer. We had a slip in Watkins Glen at the marina. We will have a slip at Treman Marina in Ithaca this year.
I live in Endicott, NY. It's cold and snowy here now... But May 1st seems so late to launch...

From where do you hail?

My slip is in my back yard, It's 50 degrees outside now, would love to have been on the boat but unemployment status says, no.

Agprice22, Look me up on pier 6 this summer at Tremen. Slip 360 "i call it the round slip haha". Good group of people around us, sail and power. I spend almost every weekend at the lake.

My First Mate grew up near Binghamton in a little bitty place called Ouaquaga. Our niece lives in Endicott. I want to sail on Seneca Lake so bad I can't stand it. Visited Wagner Winery in 2000. Dang it's pretty up there.

Dan; sounds good! I don't have a slip there yet, but I'll be putting in my application this week. Any recommendations for a pier or slip? We'll be on the water most weekends too. We are moving our C22 closer to home, but we will miss Watkins Glen. It is a nice place from which to sail.

Kermit, I can take you out on Cayuga, but Seneca was sooo last year!

Andrew, more than likely the powers that be will recommend piers 4, 5, or 6 depending on what's open. Piers 4 and 5 have no power or water at the individual slips like 6 has. 1-3 are party central for the big boy toys btw. We prefer it a wee bit quieter down on 6. If you decide on 6 look for something on the inside rather than the rock bank side, more room to maneuver between 5 and 6. 4 and 5 are identical other than the proximity to the showers and parties :)

Thanks, Dan. I won't need power. We don't overnight or do any work around the slip. Sounds like 4 or 5 will be fine.

Wow! Thanks for the great invitation! Please forgive my lack of local knowledge on the best lakes. I hate to admit it, but before my first trip to Upstate NY, I honestly thought the entire state was one huge city. Now I think I'm the greatest champion for how beautiful y'all's state really is. (You do need better license plates, though.) ;-)

Kermit, The finger lakes region produce some mighty tasty wines with many wine tours offered. And quess what, many wineries have docks with shuttles available. I think Sheldrake even has a water taxi for those anchored close :)

Seriously! I am investing in new sails, roller furler, and other goodies this year. I can't wait to get started!

What I *REALLY* want to do is trailer our '86 H23 up there. In keeping with my response to the what's-your-new-year-resolution thread, I need to get myself (and especially my First Mate) comfortable with trailering.

Andrew, take a drive down to tremen and have a peek before you decide. 4 and 5 do sit a little lower than 6 also. I have seen many c22s at all 3 thru the few years we have been there.
