I'm sailing (motering??) my H34 from Baltimore to Lauderdale - Brrrrrr! - and having problems with my laptop/TV. When running off battery (no shore power - engine off) I can't charge my laptop and my 12 volt TV gets horroble reception. My Link shows 11.95 - 12.10 volts. If I start the engine OR if it's windy (wind generator runs) it's fine. Any solution to it? My portable 350 watt inverter won't run the TV and blows a fuze after powering my PC for awhile

Battery Dead or not holding a charge.

Have your electrical system checked.

Battery Problem

Your battery voltage is dropping too low. First thing is to get your batteries checked. (How many do you have on line?) If one battery is bad, it will pull any other in parallel down with it. Your batteries shoudl give you close to 13.5 volts off of a fresh charge. As the voltager drops lower and lower, it takes more current to do anything, until you finally start blowing fuses. Would not happen with good batteries. Cam Whetstone

Wires

I had a similar problem and found the wires to the cigarette lighter plug was too small. I changed to 12 gague wire and everything works fine now.
