Recently, I've bought the 12 volt bible to try to learn simple boat electrics. I must have Attention Deficit because I can't comprehend it well. Could anyone recommend something that's even more simple for a person whose "Steel trap of a mind has rusted shut with age". I don't have anything complex to wire, I just want to rewire my Mac and to do it right. I'm not such a sped that I should have to have someone else do it for me, it's just that I do better when I have examples, pictures and diagrams to go by. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

SailBoat Electrics Simplified

I liked this book by Don Casey. Take a look at it and see if looks simpler than the Bible.

What Book Is It?

I don't want to recommend a book that you already have.

Here's my recommendation

Not knowing what you are already reading, here's my recommendations: Living on 12 Volts with Ample Power. Wiring 12 Volts for Ample Power. Both of these books are by David Smead and Ruth Ishihara. Excellent reading and gives you the info from basic to advanced. Parts of it may be a bit complicated but you can always defer and save those chapters for times when you really need them.

My Simple Mind

The book is, The 12 volt bible for boats by brotherton/sherman. What I would love is something like, "The Fisher-Price 12 volt guide for idiots who have no business buying a boat in the first place". You know, so simple that it's insulting. I don't need to know the history of the atom, nor can I decode cryptic wiring diagrams. I could over time, but I'm affraid I don't have that much anymore. 2 kids, 2 businesses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, 1200 home projects, 1 wife (notice that she's last ), I pretty much just go out and sit in it and dream of a time where I could go out and sail. (So don't worry about my ineptness out on the water). I just would like to finish this project right so when that day comes, it would be fun while it lasted for those few hours before the phone call from my wife that says," you have to come home, there's an emergency", only to rush in and hear her say, " Honey, which curtains do you think would look nice in the dining room"?
