I'm adding a furling jib to my Hunter 23 and need to add link plates. I assume this is to raise the turnbuckle outside the anchor well such that the furling drum sits high enough for operating outside the anchor well. I further assume that I will need to cut the forestay to allow for the added length of the plates. One site recommends 12" linkplates.Have you done this? Where did you get the linkplates? Anything I need to watch out for?Any and all comments are appreciated.
