11.0A owners - water pooling if aft bilge area under port cockpit locker

Hi all,

Sorry - I will surely have lots of questions over the coming weeks!

I just cleaned out the port cockpit locker and discovered the aft hatch that goes down to the hull (port quarter, small.) I have water pooling there. I am curious if anyone knows how that area is supposed to drain? Seems as though my drain path may be plugged, but I could not find anything feeling around in the bottom.

Any ideas?

may be a plugged "limber hole" in a raised piece of hull reinforcement ..it would be about big enough to put your littlr finger in and would be in the lowest corner, Any water getting in from wet gear or rain should go to the bilge. Check the cockpit drain hose and its connections for leaks

I agree - I am going to run a hose into both cockpit and deck scuppers that Y connect there and see if that is the culprit. Thanks!

Also check your rudder packing gland. I suspect mine is leaking like a sieve and has damaged my sole. A dry wipe marker is useful for finding leaks.
