The gauge reads empty but when take out and move up down it register on gauge works fine but back in tank reads empty

Is that the float which is moving up and down ? If yes, does it make the gauge move as well ?

I removed the float and put a bucket of water and doesn’t float but when move it by hand it works as should so I guess needs replace.
But I tried coating it with flex seal and yes it floats again so I just replaced holding overboard macerator and other work needing to be done I am going to see how the flex seal works until I get new one.

Order a new one from KUS, (weema replacements) they should still be less than $100.
Once the float is that saturated forget it and the float alone was not replaceable on the old ones.
I didn't know this happened in water tanks, my experience is from a diesel tank sender floats getting saturated.
