I am new to sailing so might be asking a dumb question but here goes.
Considering my Hunter has a stainless arch and the boom is attached to the arch by the traveller, what is the purpose of the topping lift?
I need to access the nuts of the bolts holding a U bracket to change out the block leading back to cockpit. There is an access panel on the port side. Not so on the starboard. Seems I may need to take down the headliner. Any tips on doing that without destroying the headliner ?
