heat exchanger to better place

While rebuilding the engine i thought that the heat exchanger could have a better place for the rest of his life...
brackets were broken off and sheaved through the housing. left a mess on the engine.
now you can easely check the transmission oil, more space around exhaust hose and if it leaks , it's not on the engine.

also water strainer in the engine room. (above waterline) and some re routing of hoses.
all for more acces at maintenance.

Your stock access is already superior to that of my C30 but with your modifications, it looks like a dream to work on.

I noticed the brackets supporting my heat exchanger have also come loose from the housing. Do you know how enough pressure was exerted to puncture the housing?

it's just time and vibrations... they even had placed rubber between the housing and brackets.
at the end it goes through the copper housing.
the exchanger should be strapt down tight to the engine . or not on it....

Got it. I'll toss some silicone on my brackets. Thanks for the info!

My boat was setup like this when I got it. It's made engine work a dream. Great upgrade.
