I've given up on my 248 hour Fischer Panda generator. Likely replacing it with a Northern Lights. The FP is the 8 Mini. That's about 65 amps, much more than needed if it worked correctly. What size generator do others have? I have two air conditioners, fridge and freezer as the big power hogs.

For a point of reference - I have two A/C's - 16K & 7K, water heater, separate 12V fridge & freezer, and two 80A battery chargers.
I can run everything simultaneously except for one of the battery chargers on a Westerbeke 5Kw genset. 5Kw is about 42A of 120V power.
Compare your A/C sizes, and make a choice. Remember that the A/C's in heat mode draw a couple more amps than in cool mode.

Next Gen 5.5 fits in the same space as FP mini 8. A little louder the FP but much simpler and reliable
Hi Kev. Our boat has many of the systems as yours. Dual heat pumps, fridge and freezer, water heater, entertainment system, etc. Hunter equipped our boat with an 8KW Onan Genset, using a Kubota three cylinder diesel.
