O'Day 23 - the most serious immediate problem was the ripped out stanchion. Here I have cut away hole and started feathering the edges.
Cleaning out slot. Afterwards bottom paint was applied up in there.
This is enough height to remove centerboard. Keel was stripped, sanded, and voids filled. Then it was coated with gray epoxy barrier because it had some water intrusion and blistering. Same with centerbd and rudder. The boat bottom was blister free, so I did not bother with epoxy. Many thanks to Don's Dock in Stonington who hauled me down, cradled and allowed me to work on my boat with water and electricity, and launched Golden Road.
O'Day 23 - after much sanding below, and filling of the toe rail U space, as well as drying out, removing, and filling some damaged deck core, I finally have a starting lamination in from underneath. I believe I ended with 7 laminations in all, alternating mat then woven roving.

O'Day 23 - acquired Nov 2010. Water had seriously entered the cabin, baked under the hot sun for a few years, along with mice taking residence. Here I'm getting started, spring 2011, starboard aft rub rail unscrewed for stanchion repair.
