Tropical Storm Beryl popped up way south. A microwave satellite detected a 5 nm eye.
Quote from the National Hurricane Center.
"Beryl has been a bit of a surprise today, which is not uncommon for
tiny tropical cyclones such as itself."

It should disappear about as fast as it appeared. Upper air winds are unfavorable for much further strengthening.

@capta might get a strong winds in the Lesser Antilles.
"Beryl is still expected to dissipate as a tropical cyclone by Monday before reaching the Lesser Antilles, there will likely be some rain and wind impacts on those islands early next week."
    ______
Tracking models have kicked in so I won't report much more.

PS: It was not the Winds but the EYE detection that got it noticed.

    This definitely a RARE storm.

This year will be a bit Weird as to where these tropical waves appear.

A tropical wave is trying to form up off the North Carolina Coast, but it will bring more a "Heat" relief to the East coast than a storm impact. Bermuda will see more impact while Mainly fast moving up the Eastern Atlantic.

Area of disturbance was noticed 3 days ago with a 60% chance of becoming a tropical storm. Yesterday winds reached hurricane strength and today winds clocked at 80 MPH. Current conditions are favorable for intensifying and expanding but by the time it reaches the Lesser Antilles wind sheer will reduce it back to a tropical storm as it enters the Caribbean. Another rain maker.

Talk about the Storm that wouldn't go away.
Beryl has recovered it "tracking" mode today...

It should follow behind Chris, up the Eastern Seaboard.
    Strengthening will be minor.

East Coast Sailing to Bermuda will be rough though.

We're actually have some nice breezy conditions over the last week or so and moderate temps, but we go back to seasonal 90deg weather and lighter winds next week, maybe 10kt winds, thunderstorms mid week and NO tropical storms. The crabs are fat, and the beer is cold. Carry on.

Looks like a Big HIGH will clear the skies over the weekend and early part of next week.
Perhaps Tuesday will be a bit rainy.
    Otherwise Clear...
