Recently purchased '95, but main and jib halyards missing. Looking for suggestions on what to buy? The original MacGregor owner's instructions are a little different than the lengths recommended by MacGregor Owners web sit. Looking for the "voice of experience". Thanks

Our Rigging Calculator tends to run a few feet longer than factory specs, because the length is calculated back to the cockpit. If you want to go with your specs, our Rigging Builder allows you to pretty much select whatever you'd like, Samson XLS is recommended and that is the default:

Go to the hardware store and get 100 feet of 1/4 inch nylon braid and run each line the way you want and then measure it. being sure to remember that you will have to cleat it off when the sail is down. You will always find uses for the 1/4 line and not feel bad about cutting off small portions for whatever, just heat the ends ti keep it from fraying.
