Thanks, I'm not sure I've spotted the ones on Lake Erie ...where are they posted? Is there anything specifically we should be looking for?

Thanks

Fresh water boat, I would look at what attributes you are looking for such as low engine hours, Air conditioning?,
One owner?, reason for sale?,age & condition of sails, manuals, how well maintained, who maintained?, winter cover?, bimini/dodger?, have the boat surveyed.
I have nothing in this, when I find the other one, I will send that your way also.
We found ours at Kentucky Lake-Green Turtle Bay in January and it was looked at by us in February.

Thanks, the boat is on a lift, recently surveyed, full enclosure, a/c and has low engine hours!

Crossing FLA to the ICW or going north up the coast- Either would be a great trip!
It will all be a great expierence !

I know some one with a 42 Catalina who took his sailboat from Texas to Punta Gorda
and him and his wife both said it was not a easy trip but they both are very good sailors. If you
Stay near the coast but there is a part of open water north of Tarpon Springs that domes not offer
safe protection and so a good weather report is needed.
I have not cruised that part of Fl. but been told it is not easy.

I sailed my H-36 from NY to Florida which we did almost all Ocean.
I planned for the worst and carried extra everything for the motor and I purchased new and sailed it for 2 years before making the trip and what I am saying I pretty much new my boat.
Bring extra engine belts and extra impellers and foul weather gear and engine fuel filters and I carried extra fuel in jugs.
I had a total of 4 crew and had plenty food and because we planned all ocean I also carried
emergency rescue survival raft and emergency rescue beacon and don't forget tools and engine hoses,I am sure I am forgetting a few more things.
You don't want to be stuck needing some part.

If you buy and need a hand to get your boat back home drop a note as I have a 310 and would love to sail the east coast to see what the difference is from the PNW.
