quite the jib, tiller helm, so i'm thinking that most of the crew is hiding forward so as to not have to work the coffee grinder on the fantail
It looks like there's another one on the foredeck, so hiding won't help.

Maybe that's not a winch. I don't see handles. Awfully tall for a vent. It looks like another one on the cabintop. A stovepipe maybe? That seems like a bad idea of one wants the sails to stay in good shape.
