I saw this guy at the Annapolis Boat Show that was hawking a small system that would take that last 1/2" of water out of your bilge so it would be dry. It was $1400 for that system. :yikes: Has anyone seen a more reasonable system?

I got my dog trained to suck on a straw.
Downside was he would only do it with beer.
So, I poured beer in the bilge.
Worked a treat.
Until the dog died.
As long as your dog cost less than $1400 it was a deal!!

Stu, I was looking back through the posts here and came across the one on the C34 forum where you and Ed Kutney talked about your bilge pump setup. I think you've got an electric pump with 1-1/8" (or 1-1/2"?) hose going to a Whale manual pump inlet, then overboard. And that it has worked fine for you. This would solve the problem in the C310 that there's only room for one 1-1/2" and one 3/4" bilge hose. Doing it that way would also let me put two electric pumps in the bilge, with the bigger one using the same hose as the Whale (getting two switches installed at the right height would be tricky, but possible). Anybody see any serious issues with that idea?

I have noticed my bilge pump running for long periods when the water level in the bilge was low. In my case I think the float switch is sticking. I don't have much experience with check valves... good luck.
