There is an aluminum plate under the area.

Harken 150cam cleat and a Harkenextreme angle cam fairlead 375
No issues getting the sheet out of the cleat under load. Much, much better than the OEM jam cleat

On the C310 there is a huge cockpit, but my favorite addition was a folding wheel, opens things up even more. Problem is most dock parties end up on our boat!
Next favorite addition would be the A-Sym.

We Love the great cockpit and when we show our boat off that is one of the things that we share as on our pier its always cocktail time after sailing on our boat and we love it!
I would like a folding wheel but have not felt it was that inconvienent yet, ..Hmmmm
