Novice about Anchors

Thanks, Gunni, now I know what a "Fishermans anchor" is. MAINE SAIL, could you name off each of those anchors on the green from left to right for beginners like me? My 3 are like the one on the right end, I don't mined being last.

What does "anchor chafe gear" look like, where do you get it, can one home make it? Is there info somewhere on anchor line and chain? I am still a newbeeee, but love to get out on the water with my O'day 22!!!!

I was told that the Danforth might hold too tight to the muddy bottom and the shank might bend instead of pulling loose and resetting the anchor. OK I have three of those and the little kind that looks like a grapple.

As much as I like a research challenge, I know I've never seen anything like #2 before, and wouldn't even know where to look to find one like that. That articulated shank is pretty interesting.

It's called a SuperMax and was one of the first "new gen" anchors... Not a great performer compared to the others, but I had to try it....
