Looking for anyone with a H306 that has an asymetrical spinnaker. Looking to purchase a Doyle with ATN sock, etc. and would like some feedback on how the boat handles, etc with an asym?

Thanks!

Its great fun to fly but can be a handful if not familiar or overpowered. You should have a pair of winch at cockpit coaming for the spin sheets. ATN sock is great. Easy to raise and snub. Don't under estimate a good sock. My China made sock collapse at the opening whenever I need to snub the Asym in strong wind. What a struggle each time.

You could probably sew in a properly-sized ring at the bottom...

As Ken said, they are a lot of fun! Our 280 is similar to your 306 and they provide nice motivation on broad reaches. DDW doesn't work very well but that's not the asymm's intent. In light air, they can work up to almost 90* apparent. We have the ATN as well but I've removed the Tacker - it just kept getting in the way. I'd suggest that you limit the use of one to 10 Kt and below until you get used to it.
