O Day Widgeon Rudder

My 12 ft O Day Widgeon 1976 is missing its rudder. I propose to make one but I do not have a template for the size and shape. Please, if you have one of these rudders, could you give me the dimensions.

Well, maybe not a template as such...... but here is a sketch of the original design. It does have the basic dimensions. You could also buy a new one complete from D&R Marine, not cheap though.
If I still had my Widgeon I'd trace the rudder, but unfortunately I sold her back in 1996 just before buying my DS II.

One correction to that drawing, I seem to recall that the aluminum blade on my boat's rudder was more like 1/8" plate, not 1/4". Original top part of rudder was "solid" fiberglass, but for home building, wood is easier.
Below is an updated version of the drawing that has the slot sketched in.
