Someone came up with a new locking mechanism, for the port side lazarette.....

I can not find the thread on this web site in respect to the new latch design....can anyone else recall this?

Paul,

I switched to this one - like they use to hold the helm seat in position, no more cut up legs...

Exactly What I Have ........................

...................... on several lazarettes and I'm waiting until the day they fail. Mind you, after 13 years they're still in excellent condition but I'd still like a couple of spares. Their looks are deceiving but neither UV, cold, salt water, or the assortment of power boaters around me have had any effect on the rubber. I give them a wipe with Armor-All each spring and they could pass for new.

However, can't see a brand name or a vendor anywhere on the attachment .............. could you please supply ?

Ralph,

All the way at the bottom - these (and that $14~price) are from McMaster Carr. The company that makes them is Southco. They also come in white -but they have a min order of 50 as white is not in stock.
