Ive posted this before, but just to remind those who may not know about it, you can receive local real time weather from AWOS stations. AWOS are Automatic Weather Observation Stations that are primarily located at or near most municipal airports. Think of them as a resource similar to buoy data. Fully automated, they update every 60 seconds giving current time, wind speed and gusts, wind direction, air temperature, dewpoint, RH, sky conditions (overcast type and level of overcast including rain fog sleet snow.., and Barometer. NOAA gets data from all the AWOS, but only every 30 minutes.
A good website is AirNav (
http://www.airnav.com/ ), which lists all airports and the page for each airport gives a ton of information, including the phone number and radio freq for the AWOS. You can simply call the number and hear the current data via computer voice.
