We have just aquired a 1980 Heritage West Indies 38 with a Perkins 4-108. boat is on the hard and due to hull work we cannot run the engine. How can I winterize the raw water side? I do appreciate your help. Rick

Yes, but they cost a lot less through a plumbing supply house. They are most often used to pump antifreeze into a hydronic heating system. Mine is about 25 years old and still works like new. Occasionally I have to lube the pump seal but that's it...Is this the Silver King pump mentioned?

Isn't there a danger of blowing out water pump seals? The Silver King pump has LOTS of power ...
Not with the impeller removed. You just need enough oomph to move the water through the system..Isn't there a danger of blowing out water pump seals?
