Hi all,
We put a bend in our traveler car connection plate and can't find a replacement. It appears to be a Nicro Fico 6 wheel car, (no longer made), and the plate is 1/2 inch thick. The unit is 3 inches wide by 2 1/2 high with holes punched out for the connections. RigRite has a 1'4 inch plate but I'd rather get the 1/2 inch stock. Any help would be appreciated.

looking at your pic i thought i had one but it seems i don't have the exact same thing....mine has a shackle mounted on the rod that holds your together ......you may be able to replace the fittings that hold yours on the the car where the rod goes through them with a bow shackle and some spacers (think washers) to keep it centered.......

That's the kind of stuff you'll find at Minney's Yacht Surplus in Costa Mesa, Ca.... old Nico and Seaward parts gleaned off cruising boats that have been retrofitted. Give them a call.... google for phone number.

Did you search nicro fico on the web? I ran into a webshop that seemed to have a lot of stuff for that setup. Don't have the bookmark handy, sorry.

Everything I found was 1/4 inch thick and the six-wheel car is no longer in stock.

You probably did, but just in case .... did you look on the "right" Rigrite page? About 1/3'rd down on this one are (from the pictures) a couple that look like dead ringers for yours. (From the pictures, anyway.)

I've got a 4-wheeled nicro fico on my boat. Just an observation you might want to consider. The through bolts securing the end-stop fittings to my cabin top on each end of my traveller rail are hopelessly frozen solid. Heat, PB Blaster, impact drive have failed to release them. I haven't really needed to remove the traveler or the car, but I know that at some point I will have to. Anyway, I mention just in case you might also have the same situation. Attempting to replace the car might open up a whole new can of worms in the process. By your description and the pic, not sure what is the 1/4" vs 1/2" plate. If it is the intermediate piece that the block shackle connects to, perhaps the two pins attaching it to the car can be drilled out, the piece removed and taken to a local fabricator with SS stock for duplication, then reattached to the traveler car with high quality screws/nuts? Even without the problem of frozen end-stop bolts (or maybe not in your case), this might be an alternative fix for you instead of a complete new car?

Sent Holland an email but I couldn't find the part online. Hopefully they have one. Since we're traveling it's been difficult to find info or local shops that might help. An old chainplate might do it.

Our track is the larger 1 7/16 inch, but you're right the 6-wheel car appears to be the same. So why don't they have that connecting plate available?

Well we got a part from Rig-Rite although it's a bit thinner. It was a good ime to replace it. Check the pics of the new and old.
