I am planning to put 2 -195 watt -12 volt solar panels and a morningstar PS-30M charge controller on my 07 h-36 over the bimini and using the arch to bolt to and also supported on rear of bimini with all 1'' round stainless round tubing and maybe some aluminum angle to hold the panels on the stainless tubing.
Anyone use the morningstar PS-30M controler and any pros or cons on this unit.

One of the best PWM controllers you can buy. Great product, great company and great support.

X2 on what Mainesail said. I bougth that controller and installed it this summer and it worked flawlessly.

I bought my panel and controller from the AltE Store (http://www.altestore.com/store/) and would deal with them again in a second. Amazing service and good prices. You can call them and ask your questions and they will take the time to answer you and make sure you understand. I;m nof affiliated with them, just a satisfied customer.

NorSea 27 Az., Doing the To-Do list
We put our first one in service in 2003 or so. When we were cruising the Sea of Cortez, it just quit. No lights or any other sign of life.

I contacted the company and they sent (to a stateside address) a new one very fast! GOOD service. BUT, I think my second one may be dead?? Our boat is undergoing a re-fit so am not sure yet.

Lucky, I had a small spare on board. I would suggest getting a small replacement that can work with at least part of your panels.

I bought these from E-Marine.
http://www.emarineinc.com/products/1-inch-rail-clamps-quantity-2.html

To electrically isolate my SS bimini arch rails from my aluminum frames of my solar panels. They come in pairs and I used 4 per panel.

That flat stock under the panel is 1/4" x 1" aluminum because my panel holes and mounting rails did not line up and the panel manufacturer stated that drilling extra holes voided the 20 year warranty.

Which one

With my 2 -195 watt-12 volt panels is it better to go with a PNW or MPPT charge controller.
I have 4-6volt T-105 house bank and 1 start battery.
