Salon table

We have a 2008 Hunter 36 and think it is a great boat that suits us very well. But there is one niggling item that my wife particularly would like to fix. The salon table goes around the compression post and is just a little bigger than she would like. The e36 table, on the other hand, is just the right size and does not go around the compression post.
Does anyone know if it is possible to just switch them out and who I should contact to move forward with this nice winter project? I live in Vermont so the boat will come out of the water on Lake Champlain in another couple of weeks.

I have a Huner 380 and have the same issue. The problem with making the salon table smaller is that you cannot drop it to make another sleeping area ?
