Anyone have experience with battery powered winch handles? Haven't seen any advertised recently - are they a dead product?

I'm trying to make singlehanding of a 35' boat easier for a plus 75er. Mostly raising the main is the pain even though I have a Strong track mounted with good matched slides.

Thanks

IIRC, this very same subject was gone over quite recently. Have you done a search?
I found this thread in two minutes.

Same age

I am close to your same age, 74, and single hand a 37. I do have some back problems. Unless I am going a long way, and the wind is forecast to be decent, I just sail with the jib. I have a 150 on a masthead rig, and there is little difference in boat speed using the main. The jib is on a roller furler, so I don't have to get out of the cockpit, or do much manual labor.

Ouch! Just did a search and found what I needed. Look before typing is the new mantra
