Great story. My 7 year old son just threw a bottle w/note overboard this summer here off Long Island. Maybe we will have a similar story....

Wow, what a trip (for the bottle!) I've thrown them overboard up here on Lake Superior but haven't heard from anyone yet. I can't imagine it getting out of our lake but then again, if Paddle to the Sea can do it, perhaps a bottle could too!

That makes me want to start throwing bottles with messages overboard, on a regular basis. Have to wonder where a bottle thrown over in the gulf might end up. That is so cool.

My Godson launched a balloon with a note tied to it and it made it to Connecticut from St Louis MO in 3 days.

I also found a note in a bottle washed up in the BVI's but could not make out what is said. Too faded.

On of the best kids books ever. Right up there with "Minn of the Missippi", "Blueberries For Sal" "One Morning In Maine"..

Great bottle voyage!!! Looking at those rocks it is amazing it was not turned into sea glass...
