it looks like UHMW......it comes in black and white as well ...go to a local machine shop and ask them if they have small drops that you may purchase.....its not that expensive in drops....or you may want to get them to make you some for your boat ...i will be needing 4 when the time comes....or you may call McMaster Car and see what a length 2"x1"x12" will cost and order it from them......

regards

woody

ps Interatate plastics has a 1" thick 12"x12" sheet for under $20.00...

I think it is Delrin. per Wikipedia it is..
Polyoxymethylene (POM), also known as acetal,[1] polyacetal and polyformaldehyde is an engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts that require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability. As many other synthetic polymers, it is produced by different chemical firms with slightly different formulas and is therefore sold under many commercial names like Delrin, Celcon, Hostaform, etc.

Higgs:

Contact Garhauer Marine for some advice. These folks are really good with having products that last for many years. They may actually have the same stuff.

use your browser and type in..... tap plastics
this isnt a supplier for your immediate area but they can get you pointed in the right direction.... and I would bet its delrin also. starboard would be too flexible to maintain a clamp on a rail for very long, and UHMW would not stand up to the UV rays for any extended length of time.
