on my boat (mac 25) there is a hatch built into the starboard seating area. I like it a lot.... on the port side there is none.
does anyone know of a place to buy a flush mount type hatch that can either be glassed in, or bolted in?.....
are there boat wrecking yards around that I could possibly get one cut out of an old hull?... the starboard side hatch on the mac 25 is wider at the front than it is at the rear so i cant just use one off of another old 25....
it seems it was designed for the galley to slide back into that area, but someone has pulled it out and bolted it into place so there is a lot of unused space behind it that is very difficult to access....
i'm thinking it would be nice to have a long hatch cover and have it open to the cabin area under the front of it, and a then have an enclosed pocket or compartment towards the rear that could hold the fuel tank (and have it vented to the outside), all under one hatch cover. any ideas?
