Macgregor 26D bimimi question

I have a opportunity to purchase a used bimini on eBay. The listing says that it is for a Macgregor. The width is 61 to 66 inches. I have done some research and it appears that this may be to narrow to mount on my sailboat. I called Macgregor and they are unsure but tend to agree. My boat is in storage 30 miles away so I can't measure it.
Does anyone know if this bimini will fit my 1988 26D?

I have mine in my back yard and can measure it. Does your boat have the stern rail, do you plan for the top to attach to the boats coaming alone?

Thats too small

Take a look at Sumners webpage and you will see his set up. His boat is a 26S but it is the same width across in the cockpit area.

I believe it has a rail? all the way around the stern. I have seen bimini's attached at different places. I don't have a preference yet. I suppose that the frame width of the bimini would be a factor as to where it can mount.
