Yesterday we had 12- 15 mph winds blowing steady out of the SW. Got my new genoa hanked and took the boat out. As I was leaving my cove I saw a hunter 23 on the water.

Ran her down and left her in my wake

We were keeping a steady 8kph on the gps all afternoon... who... hooo...

I don't know about those 86 yr olds. Was sailing in Casco Bay about 30yrs ago. started racing and go my ass handed to me by some old guy...

Yeah Knots... we really had a good day with a great angle so we could stay on a reach for a long fetch. One of those perfect sailing days. Wish you all the same.

Know the feeling. Left my buddy in the dust (spume?) yesterday. Asked him after if he was dragging a bucket... got the look I did.

One sailboat is a sail...two is a race.

Yeah, those light 22's like ours are fast boats that often are underestimated.

Last summer I ran down a Cat 27 near Oriental, one of my daughters was standing on the bow doing that scene from Titanic.... I just had to grin as I stole his air. I'm a bad boy:naughty:
