My Oday 25 1975 has the original mainsheet traveling bar, car and push pins. I would like to know if it is possible to keep the original bar and use a new car and ends that would make using the traveler under tension possible. I realize that there are kits available to do the entire process but if I could do a refit it might be cheaper. I like the set up of the Lewmar size 1 better than the 0 which they recommend. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Any idea on what kind and size the original track is?

I had the original track and pin set up. I ordered a new track a little longer. The traveler is the only one I found with the cleats in the center. With the cleats on the end of the tracks it gets in the way. It ends up being a two part with the block set up. You don't need any more than that.

The holes in the new track didn't exactly line up with the old ones. The first several in the middle were close enough but I had to 'stretch' the holes in the boat a little by the time I got to the ends of the track.
