Hunter 260 Lake Arthur
Happy holiday. I recently resealed all port vents but still have a leak in the bulkhead in the head. The water enters where the interior panels abutt above the sink. I suspect the leak originates from the lifeline stantion above the port vent. I plan on starting in that location.

What would be the best sealant for deck fittings? ( stupid question) could this leak originate at the chain plate, they appear to be through the hull on gunwale and not affect the interior.

Thank you for any input. Earl Keim

Thge hull to deck joint is sealed with 3M 5200. Any other fittings above the water line, 3M 4200 is good. Some have used west marine silicon which is made by Siliflex and is duralble, will not shrink, tenacious on holding and so forth. If you take a photo of the area in the head and send it to me, I will try to help you on the location which to look at.

Thank you that would be a great help several years you helped me buy a nice stainless Bimini top and port vent for my 260 Hunter. I will get you the information pronto What is a good address to send the info. My address is early1950@comcast.net

This would be a great help, I am not very handy finding leaks All the port vents were recently professionally sealed.
