Roger,

Welcome to Wickford! I recognized the view and the free town moorings. I tend to keep a low profile, but have enjoyed reading about your adventure. You are less than a mile from my house and sailed by on the way in. Please PM me if you need anything.

Regards,

Scott

Wickford is a favorite stop for us. One item of note ... the mooring that yacht is on is NOT one of the free moorings. The free ones are blue and orange. There are five available.

The town dock is free also for 2 hours ... but no one is counting and it's unattended. You can tie up there with either a dinghy or yacht less than 30 foot, although I've seen larger there. The dock itself is about 75' in length. There is no power or water, but it's on a neat little park and there are stores nearby for shopping.

I'm building a list of cheap or free docks and moorings on my website under the heading "Moorings, Docks and Deals" all this summer. www.TheCruisingSailor.com
