H19 to H23.5

I have the wonderful 1994 "Custom" 19 from previous posts. It is complete and in very nice shape. The state of Florida is giving me some difficulty in getting a title. I have the opportunity to pick up a 1994 H23.5 with trailer and title for $1500. It is supposedly structurally sound and the sails are in supposedly good shape. The lady bought it to fix up and sail the keys, but its more work than she was up to. That being said, should most of my H19 parts transfer to the H23.5? I am not sure what parts I will need to transfer, bust assume mostly hardware. Any ideas on this project? Just looking for any suggestions. The pic below is the boat I am looking to purchase. Thanks.

Possibly some of the rigging, i.e., blocks, cleats, will be the same. Maybe some of the rudder components, and some cabin hardware, but that's about it.

My opinion based on our experience with the newer trailerables, not hese two models, specifically.

Thats kind of what I was thinking. Maybe with a little luck my roller furling and roller furling main will also fit. I have to say that as long as the boat is structuraly solid the deal cant be beat though.

Looks like that might be a killer deal. One thing that looks odd in the pic. is that the trailer seems undersized for the boat...looks kind of short. You may want to look carefully under the stern of the boat and make sure that the bottom doesn't show any sign that it drops after where the bunks end due to lack of support. That would be a deal killer for me.

What do you mean by the highlighted above?Are you referring to indentations in the hull? I have a nice trailer made by Hunter that I will be putting this boat on once I get her home. Is this the same basic trailer you have?

I will be parting it out if the title place doesnt come through. The guy who owned it passed away without registering it and I bought it for back storage fees. I am working on a title, but Florida is very difficult to title a boat in without all kinds of documentation....I am into the 19 and trailer about $2000. so no matter how I do this I will end up with a nice Hunter at a rock bottom price. I will make someone a great deal on the hull and keel with a trailer and bill of sale if I choose to part it.

Try a Different tax Office

Sometimes a different person at a different office can make a difference. It may not be easy but should not be impossible to get it registered.

Yea, that's what I meant. I would just be concerned that if the trailer didn't support it properly, and it was trailered that way (especially if it was packed with a bunch of stuff and trailered that way on a vacation) that there might be some damage to the hull. Your trailer looks like the right one for the boat.

Regarding the Hunter 23.5 trailer pictured, I note the correct placement of the bunk boards on the trailer but the side boards coming up at an angle are an owner add on and the only thing I can assume they were loading or unloading at a steep ramp and needed some type of guide.
