Oday serial number question

Ahoy there, Phil!
The XDY= the mfg ID which is O'Day, and the letter B = Javelin. The 4778 is the serial number.
I have no idea what those four Xs are. The last digit in most O'Day VINs is supposed to be the month that the boat was manufactured which is signified by a letter of the alphabet, and the two digits before that should be the year.
