what was factory size steering wheel on hunter 29.5 1994 sail boat ?. I have a 42 inch wheel now and it takes up a lot room ,I want to down size.

My '95 29.5 also has a 42" wheel. It can be quite the pain to move and work around. I'm thinking of down sizing also.

Is it a standard 1" Morse taper shaft with Key? I have a 36" Leather wrapped, 6 spoke in excellent condition for sales at $100 plus shipping. Came off a Lewmar Witlock pedestal. Replaced with folding this year.

We had kicked the idea around on a folding wheel. Might work for our configuration. I like having the big wheel where I can sit on the side and still reach the wheel or lean back in the center and steer with my toes on a light wind day.

Stay open during race.

While cruising I have it folder as Autopilot is doing the job. I can get around without jumping on the seat. My knees not as they used to.

Cost a king's ransom.
